Unforgettable Adventures: Reflecting on My 2024 Travels and Dreaming Big for 2025

As I sit down to reflect on my adventures in 2024, gratitude and excitement fill me. This past year was a whirlwind of exploration, with each trip offering a suitcase full of new experiences, delicious food, and amazing music. From bustling New York City to the historical charm of Williamsburg, Virginia, every destination left its mark on my heart. Now, as I look ahead to 2025, I find myself dreaming of even more unforgettable adventures. Lets recap the big ones.
The Thrill of the Big Apple
New York City has my heart! Backwoods girly with city dreams! No lie. Major highlight of my travels in 2024. The energy is electric, and I loved immersing myself in its quirky fashion and hussle bussle.
I discovered a vibrant thrift shopping scene. Visiting places like the Buffalo Exchange, I unearthed unique vintage pieces that felt like hidden jewels, each with its own story. For example, I found a funky pair of zebra print heels for just $30, which has become a staple in my wardrobe. The excitement of the hunt was thrilling, and I can't wait to revisit these shops in 2025.
Music and the Joy of Good Food
Music enriched each city I visited, transforming my trips into melodies I can still hear. New Orleans being the most unforgettable. Let me say it pays to ask questions! Our hotel host gave us a list of all the good spots! Of course Bourbon Street was a never-ending party but it wasnt until we hit Frenchmen Street that New Orleans became top 5! MUSIC AND ART GALOR!!! Although I was on a quest for couple swanging boot bumping Zydeco..raging horns and good ol' DixieLand Jazz charged the atmosphere I did not want to leave!!!! Statistics show that more than 25 million tourists flock to New Orleans annually, with music being a primary draw.

Amidst the vibrant atmosphere, I also cherished quieter moments. Cruising along the Mississippi River while watching sunsets painted in hues of orange and pink on a 13 deck ship reminded me to slow down and appreciate the beauty in simple experiences. These moments anchored my travels and made them memorable!
Carnival Valor- New Year Cruise: Progreso and Cozumel Mexico!
This is my second cruise and it never dissapoints! Although the baecation vibe is much more intimate and relaxed, cruising on the Carnival Valor offers an array of benefits, especially during the festive season. Entertainment, themed parties, and dining options, this ship ensures you'll have everything you need for a celebratory start to the new year.
The 5-night itinerary includes visits to two iconic Mexican ports—Progreso and Cozumel—each offering its own set of experiences. We booked one excursion this trip , Cenote Jumping in Cozumel and it was breathtaking. Debarking the ship at 730am our day included canoing, ziplining, 3 cenotes to explore before having lunch and returning back to to the ship around 330pm. Def crashed once we got back to the room.
Progresso was very dense as we didnt book an excursion so there was not much explore. But here are a few pics;)

As I wrap up my reflections on my 2024 adventures, I eagerly anticipate an exciting 2025. I look forward to more music, delicious food, new thrift finds, and an electrifying year! Each journey promises to showcase the incredible diversity our world has to offer.
